On May 19, 2026, Prodent Lebanon welcomed dental professionals, clinicians, and healthcare experts to its premises in Bsalim for the ITI Middle East Section – Byblos Study Club, an educational evening dedicated to one of the most critical yet often overlooked aspects of daily dentistry: safe and smart prescribing.
The event featured insightful discussions led by Prof. Fady Haddad and Dr. Amine Choueiry, with moderation by Dr. Karla Kfoury and Dr. Nelly El Gemayel, creating a highly interactive platform where dentistry and medicine came together to exchange perspectives for safer patient care and better clinical outcomes.
Unlike traditional lectures focused only on technical procedures, this ITI Study Club addressed real situations faced by dentists every day — from medication interactions and patient medical histories to communication challenges between dental surgeons and physicians. The discussions encouraged participants to rethink prescribing habits, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and approach treatment planning with a broader medical perspective.
Throughout the evening, attendees engaged in open conversations around practical clinical decision-making, responsible medication use in dentistry, and the importance of evidence-based communication between healthcare professionals.
