Advanced Periodontal Plastic Surgery around teeth & Dental Implants by Pr. Alain Romanos
In December 2025, Prodent welcomed dental professionals to a focused two-day course dedicated to advanced periodontal plastic surgery around teeth and dental implants, led by Pr. Alain Romanos.
The program was designed to strengthen clinical confidence in soft tissue management through a balanced mix of theory, live discussion, and hands-on practice.
Across both days, participants explored essential surgical concepts, including soft tissue biology, harvesting and management of palatal grafts, and decision-making in periodontal plastic procedures. Practical workshops allowed attendees to practice suturing techniques, free gingival grafts, coronally advanced flaps, tunneling, and connective tissue grafting, with direct guidance throughout each step.
Advanced sessions addressed papillae augmentation, minimally invasive approaches such as VISTA and pinhole techniques, as well as the prevention and management of complications associated with soft tissue grafting. The course concluded with an interactive Q&A session and certificate presentation.
